Reporters learned from Jiaxing Customs, from January to April this year, total imports and exports Jiaxing City, 611 billion yuan, an increase of 2.3%. Among them, exports were 45.91 billion yuan, up 6.3% year-on-year; imports were 15.19 billion yuan, down 8.3% year-on-year.In April this year, the total import and export value of the city was 17.03 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9%. Among them, exports were 12.92 billion yuan, up 15.9% year-on-year; imports were 4.11 billion yuan, down 8.3% year-on-year.
From January to April this year, the top ten export commodities of the city showed an increase year-on-year except for fasteners. Among them, the city's high-tech products exports 2.67 billion yuan, an increase of 20.8%; mechanical and electrical products exports 16.13 billion yuan, an increase of 3.4%. In addition, the export of textile yarns, fabrics and products was 8.77 billion yuan, up 7.1% year-on-year; the export of clothing and clothing accessories was 5.97 billion yuan, up 8.4% year-on-year.
From the perspective of the export market of the city, exports to the United States, the European Union and ASEAN have increased, and exports to Japan and Latin America have declined. From January to April this year, the city exported 12.03 billion yuan, 10.33 billion yuan and 3.87 billion yuan to the United States, the European Union and ASEAN respectively, up 6.4%, 11.1% and 10.1% respectively. In the same period, exports to Japan were 3.83 billion yuan, down 1.7% year-on-year; exports to Latin America were 2.26 billion yuan, down 5.1% year-on-year.
Exports of private enterprises, foreign-invested enterprises and state-owned enterprises all showed growth. From January to April this year, the export of private enterprises in our city was 24.93 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%, and its export value accounted for 54.3% of the total export value of the city. In the same period, foreign-invested enterprises and state-owned enterprises exported 18.33 billion yuan and 2.65 billion yuan respectively, up 2.4% and 8.8% respectively.
General trade growth, processing trade is still falling, and market procurement trade exports accounted for 2%. From January to April this year, the city's general trade exports were 36.41 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%, accounting for 79.3% of the city's total export value during the same period. In the same period, the export of processing trade was 8.53 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4%. In addition, the market procurement trade mode in Haining pilot operation is very good. From January to April this year, the export volume was 930 million yuan, accounting for 2% of the total export value of the city in the same period.
