The Tongjiang China-Russia Heilongjiang Railway Bridge is located between Tongjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, China and Ningskoye City, Russia. It is the first cross-river railway bridge connecting China and Russia. The length of the bridge is about 7,194m and the main bridge is about 2,215m, of which the main bridge in China is about 1886 meters long, with a designed operating speed of 100km/h and an annual cargo delivery capacity of 21 million tons. The first railway bridge between the two countries will save shippers up to 10 hours and shorten the distance from Heilongjiang Province to Moscow by 809km.
The construction of this bridge will end the history of the Sino-Russian border river non-cross-river railway bridge and have created many records.

During the construction, the problems of ice, frozen soil, and sand inrush were overcome, and the anti-corrosion coating in high-cold areas was innovated, high bolt construction, deep water cofferdam anti-collision and other technology. This is the first time that this kind of construction scheme has been adopted in the world. The advantage of this is that it can meet the different track standards of the two countries on a single railway, which greatly facilitates the transportation of goods between the two countries.
